UNILAG Denies Delay in NELFund Loan Refunds to Students
The University of Lagos has dismissed reports claiming delays in refunding students who paid their fees before receiving the NELFund loan.
According to the school’s Head of Communication, Mrs. Adejoke Alaga-Ibraheem, refunds are made only after proper checks and confirmation with NELFund.
She noted that three loan batches have been received so far, and students from the first two groups have already been reimbursed.
She assured that all refunds will follow due process, and encouraged students to make use of the NELFund support desk for any issues.
Alaga-Ibraheem assured all that refunds would be processed according to regulations.
“The university management remains committed to its core values of transparency, accountability, and student-centred service delivery.
We implore our students to take advantage of the NELFund loan facility, and contact the NELFund help desk at our Student Affairs Division for prompt assistance and resolution on any complaint,” she said.
